Bob Doneley, one of only two specialists in bird medicine in Queensland (and one of only five in Australia), has been treating birds for more than 25 years.

One thing he has realised over the years is the lack of good quality, reliable information that is readily available to bird owners. In the following pages we have attempted to give you some basic (but reliable and accurate) information. This is only a starting point. Bob's quest for knowledge has continued for more than 25 years - and there is no end in sight. We can assure you that, whether you are an experienced bird keeper or a novice, there is more information waiting for you to find than you can possibly imagine.
